Peanut butter

Banana bread with peanut butter

Recipe

Serves 6 :

  • 3 ripe bananas + 1 for decoration (optional)

  • 100 g butter + 20 g for the tin

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tbsp Peanut Butter 100%

  • 60 g honey

  • 200 g flour type 55

  • 8 g baking powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • Optional: 100 g dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

Step 1:

Melt the butter over a low heat and leave to cool off the heat.

Step 2:

Peel the 3 bananas and mash them in a bowl. Whisk the eggs with the honey to make them white, then mix with the mashed bananas and peanut butter.

Step 3:

Add the melted butter, stir, then add the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and salt). Stir again until you have a smooth dough. Optional: Add the chocolate chips to the mixture.

Step 4:

Line a buttered tin with the banana bread mixture.

Optional : cut a banana in half and arrange it lengthways in the tin, on the sides, to allow the cake to swell when cooked.

Bake for 40 minutes at 180°C. To check doneness, stick the tip of your knife into the centre of the cake, it should come out dry.
